Our history

For five generations the Di Meo family has been the custodians of ancient vineyards perched on the hills of Baia between opus reticulatum and relentless illegal construction.

The Di Meo family, the cornerstone of the La Sibilla company, welcomes you to the Campi Flegrei, a strip of land stretching towards the sea whose volcanic soils, made up of ash and lapilli, give great expressiveness to the wines.

Roots

For five generations the Di Meo family has been custodians of ancient vineyards perched on the hills of Baia between opus reticulatum and urbanization. Our story begins with our grandparents, the first proponents of wine in the Campi Flegrei, from whom we inherited the oenological and gastronomic traditions and from them the new generations with Luigi and Restituta and their sons Vincenzo, Salvatore and Mattia, take on new life.

Birth

In compliance with the principles of matchability and drinkability, typical of Neapolitan cuisine, it is with Luigi and Restituta that La Sibilla and the first labeled bottles were born in 1997: the wines are simple, balanced but expressive. It is in the succession of vintages that the wines acquire character, without ever being invasive thanks also to the innovative drive of the sons Vincenzo, Salvatore and Mattia, in a continuous search to obtain wines that defy time.
